The Solomon Islands Red Cross will this week launch its Strategic Plan for 2017-2020.
The plan sets out the Red Cross vision and mission for the next four years.
A spokesperson from the SIRC told Solomon Fresh-Beat Online the Strategic Plan also identifies several targets to be achieved in that time, and the aim of reaching approximately 30 per cent of the population of the Solomon Islands by 2020.
The three Strategic Goals focus on community resilience, a strong Red Cross, and partnerships.
The guest of honour and keynote speaker who will be launching the document is the Deputy Prime Minister Manasseh Maelanga MP who is also the Minister for Home Affairs.
Also present will be representatives of government ministries, members of the diplomatic corps, partners of the Red Cross, Solomon Islands Red Cross board, management, members, volunteers and staff, and students from the Red Cross School (Special Development Centre).
The launching is schedule for Wednesday this week.
The SIRC has been a major player in delivering relief in times of crisis and care when it’s needed most.
Red Cross is there for people in need, no matter who they are, and where they live.
