The Wildlife Protection and Management (Amendment) Bill 2016 has been passed in Parliament today.

This follows its second reading on the floor of parliament on Wednesday.

The Bill was debated on Wednesday but suspended for today due to lack of quorum.

Majority of the MPs turned up to pass the Bill which is now a milestone triumph for the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Meteorology and Disaster Management (MECCMDM).

Minister responsible for MECCMDM Samuel Manetoali says the bill is important since it will address countless issues regarding conservation and sustainable economic undertakings.
