RAMSI officers join RSIPF on final IWD march

The RAMSI Special Coordinator, Quinton Devlin together with Commander of the Participating Police Force (PPF), John Tanti and his officers joined the Commissioner of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), Matthew Varley and his officers in a march in Honiara to mark International Women’s Day (IWD) yesterday (8 March).

A statement from RAMSI Public Affairs said, this is the final time that RAMSI officers will join their RSIPF colleagues to mark the IWD as RAMSI ends in June this year.
The theme for this year’s IWD, “Be Bold for Change” was marked with a Story Sharing session, the launching of the Concept of an IWD Special Award for Women and Girls and awareness on several national policies on women.
