Munda nightclub attacker arrested

Police in Western Province have arrested a 50-year-old man on 11 March 2018 for allegedly attacking another man at the Tolavaena Nightclub in Munda.

It is alleged the man attacked the victim with a scissor after an argument on 10 March 2018 at Munda.

The alleged attacker is believed to be from Bougainville married to a woman from Munda.

Western Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Chief Superintendent Mathias Lenialu in a Police statement said the man is facing one count of unlawful wounding.

He appeared in the Munda Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
